Jim McClellan opened the meeting at 13:00 hrs.

Jim asked that the Treasurer present the Treasures report.
$1671.10 in account with 26 Associate Members.

Jim covered the other Texas Interconnect Team assets:
5 used notebook computers
4 RP1 D-STAR Repeater go-kits for 1.2G Data and Voice

Jim updated everyone on the 10Ghz link testing that was recently completed by the members of our team and the Alabama contingent.
Link is functional, with no big operational surprises. All communications between areas goes to the Gateway computer. Voice is not simulcast across zone and is area specific. A .zone call. is actually an area call to the specific callsign of the area in the URcall field.

Jim and others discussed the Gateway cleanup project.
Script was undergoing a minor change, but was basically complete and functional. Trust Server administrator can now trigger entire cleanup process.

Jim updated everyone on Gateway Load Scripts.
Lance Tolar.s script loads the Lynix OS, Gateway software. The core developers discussed the possibility of combining the scripts so that Lance.s load script would load all the standalone packages in one operation loading: Lynix OS, Gateway software, Cleanup script and D-Star Monitor.

Several members presented updates on area D-Star systems:
Denton County (DCARA) - Awaiting tower work and then Gateway testing.
Mesquite . Ready for Gateway testing . Waiting on Test system availability at ICOM.
Ed McGinley discussed a NTxCOG grant proposal to provide for D-Star systems in multiple counties.

Jim updated everyone on the D-Star booth at the Hamvention in Dayton.

Jim updated everyone on the HAMCOM D-Star booth.
Jim asked for volunteers to create a club sign board to advertise our club.
Volunteers will be needed to work the D-Star booth.
The National D-Star Users meeting will be Saturday Night.
A volunteer is needed to coordinate the meeting planning and programs.
Ed McGinley will work with Jim.
The Frequency Coordinators will be meeting to discuss D-Star coordination issues.

It was suggested that due to all the activity in the near future the team should meet monthly rather than quarterly. Meetings we set for:
April 22nd 14:30 . 16:30 at the Spring Creek Barbeque meeting room, Richardson, TX.
June 2nd 14:00 . 16:00 location TBD.

Lisa McClellan and Marilyn McCrary discussed the team shirts. Shirts are button down and polo styles. Logo and callsign/name are standard. Marilyn took orders and will have shirts processed so team members will have them for Dayton.

Motion made by Gerry Dalton W5MAY to reimburse Marilyn for the cost of digitizing and setup for shirts. Seconded and passed.

Jim and Fred Varian WD5ERD briefly presented draft of a SOU between Denton County Amateur Radio Association and the Texas Interconnect Team.. This is a cooperative agreement for DCARA to use the K5TIT repeaters in support of DCARA.s emergency communications mission. Motion by Jim to have Secretary continue working on SOU with DCARA to have a final version presented at the April 22nd meeting.

Pete Loveall presented a DPRS and DIGI function update.

Pete Loveall and Fred presented a brief update on the ICOM IC-2820H.

Gerry and Jim mentioned that K5TIT VHF audio is available on the internet via shoutcast.

Jim updated the members on the results of the simulcast testing and the current status (It.s disabled).

A volunteer is needed to work on developing a demonstration application that would transmit still pictures via low and/or high-speed data.

Pete Loveall made a motion to adjourn at 16:30.
